About Me...
Creative. Sophisticated. Congruent.
Three words that mean a lot to my photography is creativity, sophistication and congruence. Creativity: imagining an image, bringing the elements together and allowing for the outcome. I get excited by the end image even though it is rarely identical to the original idea. Sophisticated: an image that is designed and built, reflecting an educated taste. Congruency: when all the elements add together with an honesty in and of itself. It is a genuineness, in this case, the photographer without a facade. The art of capturing an image has always been a fascination for me. Ever since I came into possession of my first film camera in my mid teens, the idea of freezing a moment in time has drawn out my creative side. Over the next twenty years, I pieced together the building blocks of what makes great images and continue to discover more every day. For me, although I love taking landscape images, the human element brings a photo to life and I love working with people. |
